what, he works overtime constantly so there is no time left to socialize? girls despise people who work at zoos or low level jobs?

The zoo animals, in a panic, decide to break their time-honored rule of not talking to humans and teach Griffin the ways of the wild so he can find a mate and stay at the zoo.
basically, its an egoistic attempt to keep a satisfactory zookeeper (their 'help' serves primarily their own interests)
if animals were to be able to learn/use human language it would mean they are more intelligent than humans, furthermore by not speaking even to kind-hearted/favorable people they show disrespect/superiority
    the animals understand human relationships?
    the zookeeper needs a mate?
in order to get a mate he needs to learn 'the ways of the wild'?

but then again, its harmless family entertainment, done by benevolent scriptwriters/directors and honest companies, eh?
