    martin lawrence is one of those 3rd tier actors who play roughly the same role in just about any movie they make, meaning if you saw one you've seen them all, unfortunately his acting style or comic ideas/delivery borders on 'almost retarded' level, hardly justifying even one full length movie - occasionally there are some funny scenes but they are way too scarce to be able to provide decent entertainment, mostly its just irritating obviously faked incompetent/clumsy characters

    as for the 'big momma' theme exploitation, its nothing more than a variation of the eddie murphy's 'nutty professor' theme, and not at very good one either, so if you just have to see it, watch the first one (from 2000), since the rest fail even more miserably, as expected
