This could be because the Yanks are too preoccupied in trying to define what exactly construes sexual relationships. Currently, from a Canuck's perspective, the Yanks have been broiled in debate over the following considerations:

or female and female and dirty cup containing certain people's bodily excrements,

or female and car gear stick with leather interior,
or man and girl and the camera guy who him/her/itself gets a trip out if it as well;
