    GiveMeTorrent 0.09 Beta

    SB-Innovation Presents

    >>>>>> GiveMeTorrent 0.09 Beta <<<<<<

    ╔═══════════════════════════╗
    Coded by:
    ╚═══════════════════════════╝

    >>>>>> Ruzzz <<<<<<

    ╔═══════════════════════════╗
    Changelog / Features:
    ╚═══════════════════════════╝

    Setup:
    Select in your torrent client connection via http-proxy, host: localhost and port: 12000, or whihever was choosen in GiveMeTorrent.

    Briefly about interface:
    In columns "Downloaded *" è "Uploaded *" one can see fake data that sent to tracker. "Rule" shows which rule was used.

    Rules:
    A rule has two parts: filter and actions. A filter consists of 2 fields: «Tracker host» and «Torrent hash». The filter determines what torrents will be affected by the rule. Tracker host iz an web address where the client sends data. There could be several lines in torrent's property. All we need is just the host, that looks like a part of the address, something like «tr0.kinozal.tv», without prefix «http://» and without «/announce…». Wildcards '*' can be used that replaces several characters. Since trackers may have several servers with different domain names like «tr0.torrents.ru», «tr1.torrents.ru», in order to setup a rule for torrents.ru you can put «*torrents.ru». In the fiels «Torrent hash» you can specify hash, that can be copied from let's say uTorrent, tab «General», looks like «393FE50B0C3F2AACD4A318AC16D636E7635D1CE7», however, in uTorrent it rather looks like «393FE50B 0C3F2AAC D4A318AC 16D636E7 635D1CE7», with spaces :).
    You can leave fields empty. If there are several rules, that can be applied to the torrent, the GMT will set priorities as in the following example (for http://torrents.ru):
    Rule #1: Host = «*torrents.ru», Hash = «XXX…», — i.e. both fields filled in;
    Rule #2: Host = «» (empty field), Hash = «XXX…», — i.e. only field «Hash» filled in;
    Rule #3: Host = «*torrents.ru», Hash = «»(empty field), — i.e. only field «Host» filled in;
    So, the rule that has both fields filled in will have the higest priority. The next one will be the one that has only «Hash» filled in. The rule that has only field «Host» filled in will have the lowest priority.
    So, only one rule is used for a torrent/tracker. If there is no specific rule found for a torrent/tracker, the default rule will be used. The default rule is the first one in the list and it can't be deleted. The list of rule automaticaly saved in â XML-file «rules.xml». You can perhaps edit this file manualy, however, it is not recommended.
    After a rule has been created, the GMT will follow actions specified in the rule. Every action can be marked as «do» (a check box checked), «do not do» (a checkbox is not checked) or «as in the default rule» (a checkbox is greyed out).

    Compare it with ratiofaker I don't think it has advantages. Somebody may set lots of rules manually ?
    If I want separate setting for each torrent RatioMaster would be the best choise and It has memory reader to help people who doesn't know a lot about technical things .
    It should do the same thing like RatioMaster make a function named "torrent reader" .

    2 Found some words are mess up ,it'd be better compiled with unicode .

    3 Is there any tutorial for it ? Can not find any explanation for "Action" and "Advanced"

    I hope it will come up a better edition .

    Thank you for your feedback, peepin. You are right there are some issues with the translation. I'll try to fix them in near future, and maybe put together a little tutorial.
    At the same time - RM and GMT are different tools. GMT is a proxy tool, does not emulate a client, so no need in memory reader. One can use RM and GMT at the same time though, by selecting proxy in RM. I do it, for example, to keep track of DL/UP amount done by RM for different torrents.

    Of course I know that it's a proxy tool like ratiofaker and it can specify rules for each torrent .
    It's a metaphor ,I want to point out that it's annoying to get and set the info mannaully .
    Glad to know you will make it better .

    Already done that.

    OK, guys and galls, unfortunately the coder of GMT is busy with other projects and kind of stopped development of this tool, at least for now.
    I will try to help you with GMT as much as I can. Can't do anything with Windows 7 problems though.
    I personally have been using GMT 24/7 on many private trackers with no issues. My uT and RM are running viaa GMT all the time. For trackers that I don't want to cheat I just set the rule to show my 100% download and increase upload in 1 (i.e. no multiplication of upload). I found it useful to see the summary of all my traffic d/l and u/p for all trackers that I connected to.
    The default settings work just fine.
    Can not find any explanation for "Action" and "Advanced"
    I though they are pretty explanatory. 'Increase upload in' just a multiplier. Lets say you want to report your upload 33% more than real, just put 1,33 there (be careful with your regional setting, sometimes one needs to put is as 1.33).
    'Send only (%)' - if you put 15 there, only 15% of your download will be reported to tracker.
    'Advanced' better leave that as is, especially "chunk" size. I never change anything there. Or, if you know what you are doing, you can spoof the bit-torrent client.
    Since I don't have an access to the code some messages may remain untranslated. If you encounter such a message please post a sceenshot in this thread and we will work it out.
    Anyways, I am always here to help, and happy cheating with GMT! :)

    Welcome to the community! Thanks for posting about the update, I added it to the first post. This is a pretty underrated program.
