also you have to make a difference between clusters and machines working as one unit. in theory you could link 18763454718654678542876542765 iphones and that would beat everything else but would you call that a supercomputer?

Yeah, but except when that computer is specially made for playing games. Then you are pushed to use windows...
The biggest wish right now for me is native steam client to be released on linux and source engine to be ported. Then i say bye bye windows, which i use for gaming only (XP).

But linux makes life easier and free while windows shows BSOD's up and makes you pay or steal. Then who is bettter huh?

People are allowed to use any OS they want, but that isn't a reason to hate or blame other operating systems. Every OS is better or not so good in many aspects each.
It might be different to everyone, but i feel right that I moved to linux. It depends on what things you need to do with an operating system and on what you are familiar to. OS shouldn't be aimed to make things more complicated, nowadays a good OS should make things easy to get done and with no problems.

more competition promotes more innovation so every1s a winner, even if Windows was pirated and u had a copy of linux on hand some ppl would still choose Windows for their specific uses

Since Ive moved to W7 I have noticed BSODs are rarer as compared when doing the same things as on a XP machine ie video/audio editing

Nothing wrong with linux, but then again windows and mac suck ass when it comes to handling scalability. I wonder if I win the lottery...could I even afford #10 on that list lol

wouldn't it be better if all that money to keep these things running were give to the poor or something? I mean who needs that kind of processing power anyway? what are they trying to do, simulate the atomic bomb explosion?
