    Vuze crashes because of jvm.dll

    using the latest extreme mod and java 1.6.20. i got this error overnight. woke up this morning to find vuze closed down and a bunch of error logs in the install folder because i have this watchdog app to auto restart if the azureus process closes down. it checks every 2 minutes.

    opening those error logs reveals that the crashes were caused by "jvm.dll". a search on google says that it is a sun java problem. this has never really happened before so i don't know what the problem could be.

    any ideas what it could be or any way to solve this?

    thanks!

    JVM = Java Virtual Machine

    There are some tips here:
    Azureus disappears - VuzeWiki

    I take it you've already tried a clean JRE install.

    yup. i checked out that link and already uninstalled java, restarted, fresh re-install. just got to wait this out to see if it crashes again.

    could it be Nod32? i already disabled Imon and excluded the azureus and Java files from real-time guard/scanning.

    It wouldn't hurt to do a test run with NOD32 disabled. Personally, I used 2.7 and it never gave me any trouble with Azureus.

    i'm using xp sp3 32-bits. and i'm using Nod32 2.7 because it's lightweight.

    still hasn't crashed yet. so far so good.
