HOME (English with subtitles) Full Documentary

It focus on global warning and carbon crisis...

"The documentary chronicles the present day state of the Earth, its climate and how we as the dominant species have long-term repercussions on its future. A theme expressed throughout the documentary is that of linkage—how all organisms and the Earth are linked in a "delicate but crucial" natural balance with each other, and how no organism can be self-sufficient."]The documentary chronicles the present day state of the Earth, its climate and how we as the dominant species have long-term repercussions on its future. a few comments on some nonsense mentioned in the documentary:

we disrupted the balance essential for life - wrong, natural disasters/events have had a far more destructive influence on living beings - there is no evidence of any global balance being disrupted by humans, furthermore it is quite possible that the balance is a fluid thing, constantly changing, with or without human presence

traces of our beginnings...a planet in a chaos of fire - we still haven't got a clue where the human beginnings are, they certainly are not coming from the volcanic dust, primordial soup or one celled organisms or even just molecules - organisms can adapt to their environment but only to a small extent, not so much that they would shift from one species to another or suddenly develop new functions by some evolutionary quirk, its the reason why scientists haven't found (and never will) the missing link in darwins theory

the original earth atmosphere filled with CO2, H2O with no O2 - yeah right, how does (full of) CO2 go to 0.038% would be nice to explain

primitive lifeforms still exist in the hot springs - duh, reality check, primitive lifeforms exist just about everywhere! just because they are present in large numbers doesn't mean they are ancestors to anyone

so the suns energy helped to break the water molecule to get oxygen, but wait, the sun was already there, and the volcanoes gave extra heat, how come it all didn't start before the cooling?

so we have a subtle, fragile harmony, supposedly easily shattered, whereas a few minutes ago they were talking about cataclysms which caused it all? doesn't make sense

by the end of the century, there will be a depletion of minerals? i'd like to see that research

so some of the fishes have been fished out of existence, well, what happened to water farms? similarly as the farms for cattle, but seems to me not many want to invest in it as its more difficult than land farms, so governments just play dumb and let the fishing corporations take whatever they can from international waters...when it gets severely depleted, i guess, then they will try to find a way to breed fish or something

so there will be water shortages - but how come rarely any country uses desalinization of sea water as there is more than plenty of it? its again a matter of profitability, so they will probably wait until there is no more water available to reconsider the desalinization process

the cycle of life was given to us? it was already there, we participate in it

so the amazon forest is being cut down, to make way for agriculture & co. but who owns those agricultural companies, why does the government allow extreme cutting, who benefits here...no mention of it in the video

so borneo is quite deforested, they failed to mention who bought & used the wood, or the palm oil - surely not the locals

the rapanui civilization died because of overpopulation and natural resource depletion? what an arbitrary statement, as it is quite unclear who actually built all those sculptures and where the original builders disappeared - if they were such great navigators then it would be a piece of cake to move all the inhabitants to other more fertile areas

finally after an hour of beating around the bush we come to the highlight of the video: the supposedly massive amounts of CO2 being pumped into the air and the resulting climate changes - the fast ongoing global warming story, one that cannot be substantiated by decent scientific evidence, but rather convenient stories of human influence, forgetting how all today's CO2 made by humans is a 'drop in the ocean' compared to a single volcanic burst that supposedly can pump out more CO2 than all humanity in 200 years, not to mention the seas as giant CO2 storage, responsible for the majority of CO2 in the air

so the surface area of the ice cap thins in the summer - well, no shit sherlock!

the concentration of CO2 hasn't been so high for 100 000's of years - wrong, its constantly shifting in a certain range with occasional +/- peaks

rapid heating? do they even know what rapid means? actually we are entering a period of cooling or at least stagnation of temperature, most likely leading slowly into the next ice age

if greenland melts sea level will rise 7m, lets see, with 'rapid' melting we should be able to feel some rising waters by now...no? sorry, the levels have gradually been increasing for 150 years (with no sudden jumps as would be expected by 'rapid' heating) by some 0,5 mm per year

every year the scientific predictions become more alarming - and why is that? not because the situation is alarming but because without catastrophic predictions they wouldn't sell any of their books or their universities wouldn't get donations from interested corporations - we had numerous predictions by now and most of them failed quite badly, especially the extreme ones

what happened to the cattle methane, not important anymore? now its the methane under the russian permafrost that presents a danger, is it?

so the earth has no more than 10 years to reverse its actions? thats a bit close ain't it? i'll predict what they want: people to start quickly spending money, investing into 'green' solutions and new costly technology, meaning a 10-year spending spree after which there will be a story how we managed to 'save the planet' (even though our pockets have been severely depleted) and the climate is stabilized, when in fact it was going that way with or without our help - its all a mass delusion (with a few healthy bits of truth) made for profit, until it gets old and they make up another one and so on

so the species are dying out at a 1000x faster rate than normal, so if 1 species dies per year normally, then in the last 10 years we would have 10 000 species extinct...would love to see them back up that one

so the average temperature of the last 15 years has been the highest ever recorded, do they know that for it to be climatically relevant it would take at least 15 more years to get some reliable numbers, and then another 30 to compare to the first 30, and then another to get a glimpse if there is maybe a trend, and how many to actually establish a high certainty about the trend possibility...a lot - so a number doesn't mean much if you cannot compare it to other numbers with roughly the same conditions or measurement equipment/methods, not to mention that our actual measuring history spans some 150 years in the past, the rest being quite unreliable

climate refugees, eh? its called industrial revolution, money & co., the primary reasons for cities getting larger

then we get the borders story, why must people separate themselves...simply so others wouldn't get some wrong ideas (of invasion) - a globalist agenda

so 4 out of 5 children get education: if this education resembles the mindset of this video, then the children are in trouble, a brainwashing trouble

so basically we get a story of nature being in danger by humans...but wait, what humans to be specific? they failed to recognize them but it was obvious nevertheless - its the greedy corporations, the corrupt governments & politicians that protect them, not humans in general, yet this movie was made for the purpose to acknowledge the pollution and depletion asking ordinary people to engage in action, most likely to give their money to another set of greedy corporations with 'green' labels, in effect continuing the same chain of the abuse of nature & its resources - what ordinary people should do is to put heavy pressure on their political parties to produce visible results, not just promises or PR presentations or paid scientific research - they need to impose restraints on the corporations in order to improve the situation, country by country, otherwise no significant changes will be made

btw, the director of the movie is not just some 'greenie', he goes along with al gore's carbon crap program, nice to know how trustworthy he is (from his wiki entry):

On July 1, 2005, he founded the international environmental organisation GoodPlanet, and set up the program Action Carbone to offset his own greenhouse gas emissions generated by his helicopter transports. Since then this program has evolved to help people and companies to reduce and offset their climate impact by funding projects on renewable energies, energy efficiency and reforestation.
