    Your statement can be understood in many ways.

    Now I understood that it is only an icon problem. Try installing MPC again.

    If this didn't work, you need to change the icon manually. What OS are you using?

    You want to change the association or just the icon?

    The latter can be achieved somewhere in MPC's settings. As regarding for the latter, open a Windows Explorer window -> Tools -> Folder Options -> File Types -> look for MP4 -> Advanced Properties, and you'll see the "Change icon" button.

    This looks ok,

    but when I open the folder where I have MP4 files, looks like this.

    Kill the explorer.exe process or just reboot your PC.

    I was going to tell you to do this but as I said; it was not clear what was wrong. I thought that the mp4 files open with MPC but their icon is winamp which happens sometimes.
