    Mdownloader - a lightweight freehost downloading client

    Hi I new to the forum but thought wanna share this new lightweight downloader i've been trying out. It's small and lightweight compared to the likes of Jdownloader or Cryptload. But probably not as feature rich yet and support less hosts. However on the plus side, if you are just usually downloading from the few familiar big names like RS and MU, this app is more than enough. Also it is currently being actively maintained.

    MDownloader

    Project Description
    A tiny application designed for downloading files available at the most popular file hosting servers. Don't click - queue it.

    Features:

    * Page parsing to find supported links & matching interchangeable links (by name and size).
    * RSS monitoring, FilesTube & Release Database searching.
    * Download resuming (for those providers which support it in anonymous mode).
    * Captchas recognition (OCR engine will try to recognize it, but sometimes manual recognition is required).
    * Direct download & download via proxy mode (with authentication or without).
    * Download acceleration using interchangeable links or proxy servers.

    Currently supported providers:

    * Bitroad.net
    * DepositFiles.com
    * EasyShare.com
    * FileFactory.com
    * Hotfile.com
    * Klurk.com (aggregate)
    * Letitbit.net
    * Load.to
    * MegaUpload.com
    * Rapidshare.com
    * SendSpace.com
    * uGotFile.com
    * Uploading.com
    * zShare.net

    I was going to post this program, but as the good SBI-citizen that I am, I searched and came across this post
    I have not used it but one (new) feature caught my eye:

    "FilesTube & Release Database searching."

    It might be worth a try...

    JDownloader is better. No premium support and it this also Re-download the file when it reach 100% it goes back to 0% to download again. (tried on megaupload).

    Well done. You're a role model for most of our users.

    Coincidentally, I tried this program a few days ago while looking for an alternative to RDesc, which doesn't seem to work too well these days. What you mention is nothing that can't be done with a browser, but if I remember correctly it showed the search results using its own UI, instead of an IE browser window.
    "I just remembered something that happened a long time ago."

    I didn't try it yet, but sounds like a simple way to get files, much better than using a browser.
