Both require software to install, when on windows, there is a build in option in network connections. So I recommend using a service like Itshidden, witch uses the build in option. But thanks anyway.

I partially agree with you. But ItsHidden itself use a software -the pptp Windows software. Is it structurally so secure ? Moreover, an issue I don't like with ItsHidden is that each time you connect to the service, it assign you to a certain local ItsHidden IP, and put this local IP in the white list of your firewall This IP remains whitelisted after you lerft the service. As your local IP change from one connection to an other, some itshidden users could later be assigned to a local IPs that were one of yours local itshidden ip at some moment in the past. I don't like the idea that some people I have no reason to trust, could have an IP witch is whitelisted in my FW.

pptp is not a provider specific software. that's a big difference.

It's precisely the part of CSCurse's sentence I was agreeing. Although it is as risky to use the free vpn I gave, than using e.g. apps such as Ustrasurf witch are provider specific, too. But as I wrote, there is some specific security issue concerning vpn such as itshidden.

    Yet another

An other I just have found, for those who can't stand proprietary software to install:

    Free Offer:

Bandwidth of low quality. 100 Mbps shared between all users.
Shared IP address (NAT). All incoming ports are closed. Port 25 blocked (no mail).
    Connection Method: OpenVPN (TCP) only.
    Free. No support provided.

HSS is already well-known. It's more or less like the one in post #10 (high speed, NAT, OpenVPN) plus it caps you to 5GB/month via MAC address.
