    uTorrent also has a red icon at the bottom...any ideas on what I could do now?
    Check your router's documentation to know how to really forward ports...

    That would happen if I could find it...

    EDIT: I found it and read it, but it didn't help much. uTorrent now says that my port is open, but PFPortChecker still says it isn't open.

    Modem...hm, I'll be honest and say I have no idea. I never really did anything to the modem.

    I have a Motorola modem, but is it really necessary to forward ports in the modem?

    eh, modem and router do have the same options
    that's double the config for nothing and i assume your 'modem' is a router with an integrated modem

    its not for nothing, if you forwarded the port in the router and not in the modem, you'll not be connectable.

    it appears so,

    @ares, you might want to try 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1,192.168.0.2 ?
    and see if your modem does have a page too

    I did try those, but none work. I am not connected directly, but wirelessly...could that be a problem?

    connect directly to the modem,
    and Start > Run > and type
    "ipconfig /all" without the quotes.

    see whats the Gateway and enter it in the web browser
