Wikipedia isn't a reliable source for information , during high school you can use wikipedia since no one will check if the information is 100% correct or not .
I've learned that the hard way , the only reliable sources of information in college are (References , Journals , conference papers) ; Other than that there is a chance the information is bogus .
    Thanks

True, but when your access to these resources are limited, every bit counts.

Anyway, he just passed by to get the netbook back, I managed to stuff Kiwix and a scientific calculator in it.

The school I work at ordered the printing of last-year diplomas to a shop. They somehow managed to misspell "rectory" and "school".

    Thanks

No, Spanish, but of course it's still a blunder. I think there's something ironic about receiving a diploma where words are misspelled

strange mistakes, such written material ought to go through several checking levels before it gets printed:

    - original text creator (1-2 persons)
    - (certified) proofreader (1)
    - designer (1)
    - final check before sending it to the publisher (1)

    - publisher (1)

seems a few of these steps were skipped and/or done by a single person
    Thanks

I got a spelling error in my FINAL diploma(for 13 years of school), too... I didn't had it corrected, I actually like the thought of my school being that stupid.
    "I like waffles."
    "Pardon, you like what?"
    Thanks

Hey guys, please suggest me a gift for a special someone who works the same job I do and is on more or less equal grounds with me knowledge-wise. Ideally I would prefer something that is and remains useful, like a flash drive or external disk, but she already has all that sort of stuff and I'm at a loss as to what else I could pick.

    Thank you

well you can get a something addition to thing that she already have. like camera lens if there is a camera or good quality headphone if there is a mobile phone and likes music or connector for the car if there's one. There are many options. if you found nothing then do like I do. Perfume always is good idea . what prices we talking about though ?
    Thanks

Good idea. There is a phone and she lost the data cable recently, so that would really hit the spot. I was thinking of something a little more complex than that, but it would certainly be useful.

    Could also work.

Last month, one of the school authorities made a vague (in his words) complaint to the government about several things that were wrong, including a month I wasn't paid for due to a mishap in the revenue service, which was planned to be fixed at the end of the year.

The day after, I get an e-mail saying I would be paid in full for my work during May and April, even though I only worked like five days on the latter month. So I wouldn't mind going a bit out of the way if there's something cool I could buy
