    There are other Linux systems that can boot fast, too. And Google wants to improve the startup time even further...

    You can make instant "boot" in windows easy. Just never turn off PC completly. Use S3 (suspend to RAM) standbye mod and when you want to start work again PC is ready within few seconds
    Thats what I use if I want some peace from constant noise that vents make.

    Then go there again after setting the Google cookies instead of refreshing.

    For me it didn't work on Opera, had to use IE7.
