meh they are kind of dull and boring (at least judging by this posted song). Or its just for me.

Is similar style, I can say I like Sepultura.

here, two good songs from slayer:

Slayer - Seasons In The Abyss (video)

Slayer - Dead Skin Mask (live @ Donington UK 1992)

    likewise, from sepultura:

    Sepultura - Kaiowas (acoustic @ MTV 1996)

    Sepultura - Refuse/Resist (live @ Donington)
Sepultura - Territory intro (live @ Monsters of Rock 1994)

(should be viewed one after another)

    Sepultura - Territory (video)

LOL @ the rooster, there was a pretty good 'baby growls in a car's back seat' video but can't seem to find it atm

the beginning (for some reason) reminded me of this one:

    Grip Inc. - Ostracized

as for godsmack, haven't listened much, but a few songs, they seem to have trouble releasing/channeling their energy (fi. visible on the 'i stand alone' video), so i get the feeling ther stuff could be much heavier...

btw, SBfreak, did you find those (good) alt. metal bands you were looking for?

Lots of new thrash metal vids.... except the hell awaits one.

Thrash is best served in the 80's and pretty much non existant in the 90's imho.
