[FONT="Georgia"]Well..i have start this post only for warning all members that offer Demonoid Codes in the giveaway section that right now the codes has been changed wehn they will be generated so that in fron of them it will appear the user id

Something like this :

[FONT="Georgia"]And this thing it will be risky because it will reveal the id that you use for demonoid and maybe on other tracker.

If somebody check this ..it will be easy to search for another accounts on others trackers and ban that userid on other trackers based on the invitecodes from Demonoid .

It just a warning ..can be closed or let for discussion.
I have just wanted to warn you about this .
Cause the risk is to high to be ban on other tracker's with that codes that right now they reveal userid.

I doubt Demonoid will come here to ban all of us - they already don't have time to ban obvious cheaters

I think other trackers don't put your UID in front of the code, and remember it isn't the same for all trackers.

This is a point to have in consideration, though - thanks for the info.

No..i'm not scared about the demonoid that will ban me.
But if somebody that is in the stuff from other trackers click "thank you" button and see my demonoid codes with my usename id in the front ..it can search that id in his tracker to see that i'm registred with the same user name ..anf if found that id =ban = reason SB-I cheating Bord Member.

How they get me ?
From my id listed in my invites codes from demonoid and with the same id i have registred also in what.cd..waffles..scc..sct.
That i have wanted to point out...that basing on the demonoid userid i can be searched in other trackers also since right now they know my id that i have used in Demonoid.

I agree with anon but its first time to see this happen so better to take care as it possible demonoid staff can change their minds since their invitation free to cheaters

Perhaps Demonoid giveaways can be handled like this:

• User posts "I have X Demonoid codes, PM me"
• People PM him for the codes instead of clicking the Thanks button

This would enhance security.

Well..somebody from other trackers can now see my user name : CheaterSBI
And they can search on his trackers for CheaterSBI to see if somebody has been registred with that name and ban that user ( obvious me..if i have used same ID on Demonoid and same id on SCT for example )

User ID: the unique number that identifies your account
User name: the name

thats why anons solution is safer - using PMs without the codes being visible to all, even though the security later on depends on the invitees and their cheating skills

Yes, they definitely can. The Giveaway thread v2 is only visible to full Members though, so there shouldn't be much danger, but if you want to be completely sure you can use PMs.

Yes, but I think new Demonoid accounts have to wait a while before they can generate invite codes.

i agree that invites for demonoid should be pm only since many people have same username on all their private trackers and when they see the usernames in demonoid invites they go about banning same names
