    2 years ago I tried Ubunto (still have the installation CD by the way).
    I read somewhere that in order to install the drivers of the USB modem I had, I needed to write like 5 lines in the

    and don't get me wrong.. I know my way around computers.. it's just that Windows' so much more convenient than Linux or its distributes..

    really and this is from my many years experience of using windows and msdos. Everything has improved so much dude I remember if W 3.0 crashed for whatever reason u had to reinstall everything except for DOS.

    anyway...
    If you find XP easy to use then you'll find W7 even better and if you got x64 hardware it'll be even better cos of the extra ram

    Im using Mac OS X and its a very smooth and comfortable operating system.
    When I used Windows XP I had to reinstall the whole system every 6 months in the best case, because its performance decreased rapidly. Now I m using the same Mac OS X installation for 2 years and there is still no reason to reinstall it.
