Tracker is back online from what i've heard. Had some serious downtime.
I think it will end up like SCT. Going to ask for donations and after that will shutdown.

It's nice to have non-scene releases too!

After listening to feedback from our users we are excited to announce the introduction of non-scene content to the site, this is available in a separate section, right next to the regular browse section, just click the non-scene tab to access it.

Non-scene releases are separate from our normal browse section, so it means that you can use the new section or not (similar to what we have done with adult content - xxx section).

We have already made arrangements with a number of groups who will be honoring us with fresh releases so that our new section will be filled with more content daily, more groups will follow in the coming weeks.

We hope that you're just as stoked as we are - times change and so do we. Time to evolve to the next level.

SceneAccess News - It may shut down

The end of the road...
The past year has been excruciating. We have watched SCC suffer from various issues throughout the period. These past weeks have been the worst in our history. When we got raided in 2007, we were up within a few hours, but who would have thought we would become our own enemies.

We have always had a policy here at SCC, a very nice ground rule, never ever would we beg for donations. We laughed at other sites, "look at ***, another mass PM begging for donations, haha!".

The other day I answered some of you in a forum post about what was going on and I feel we owe it to the rest of the site as well. The past year, the low amount donations have been sucking our war chest dry. Last months donations was on an all time low, €245... This month we've had €90.

This is the end of the road for us. The lights will go out unless we meet our expected target. The donations bar has been brought back (it was removed because we felt it was embarrassing to watch it never fill up fully for over a year).

If we crush the target, we will be starting a migration to a newer source code and we will be putting contingencies in place, to make sure this never happens to us again.

As we stand now, we have NO money left to pay our bills and the lights WILL go out.


I've set my pride aside, now it is up to you if we will survive this crisis.

Nooooooo, not SceneAccess

All trackers require money to survive. "We'll never ask for donations" is a nice policy as long as it's not challenged by circumstances as it is now (or you have external funding). But SCC runs their own topsites and needs several high-speed servers for that, so their monthly costs are definitely on the quadruple digits. They should have announced this as soon as things started looking grim, not one and a half weeks away from next month. The facts they only accept Bitcoin and their recommended exchange service only works in a couple dozen countries may not exactly help matters.

I hope they pull through, they're great at what they do. In the meantime, someone start grabbing all those exclusive packs just in case...
