Not for today or tomorrow. Most members got a bunch of bonus invites, which will last 48 hours starting from yesterday.
Afterwards, you'll begin seeing the "trickle down" effect, as its rarity increases once again. There'll be many fresh account trades, in the meantime.
Before the bonus invites thing, SCC was somewhat hard to get, since you have to donate to get invites, and the minimum amount is 10 euro. There are unlimited offers on What.cd's and Waffles' PU forums, though.

They do have a confirmation proccess. You may want to check up on their IRC help channel for more info and help.
After you finish registering, you should be auto-redirected to the browse page, at least with bonus invites. If you didn't get an error message, to to their login page and try your new username and password.

But was able to login and browse on my FF..
This confirmation thing scares me...

I had a similar problem with BitMe ,and I had to chat on IRC about it then
They solved this issue ,confirming my account!

It seems there's no e-mail confirmation anymore, only the first e-mail with the signup link. At least not for the bonus invites.

Yep.I can confirm I did not receive a confirmation mail.I can use that site now.
I sure as hell am NOT going to go on their IRC seeing that I'm from a banned country.
