Hope the new measures can bring back the good retention from older days.

it's hip to be square
Is the oldest torrent still that music album from 2005?
I feel a bit stupid commenting on their changes, since I basically stopped using them after the 2010 redesign. TL was the first "real" (i.e. invite-only) tracker I joined, so I guess they hold a special spot in my heart or something. I've made several accounts during their many open signups throughout the years to give them another chance, but just couldn't get used to the new interface... before that, however, they were among my top 3 trackers.

Maybe it is not an impressive design but I enjoy the site very much and it has excellent content.
Been using it for a while now and has pretty points system and freeleech now, and as a beginner its a good way to get into private trackers. Retention is also pretty good, I was able to download few torrents from even 2010

It took more than a decade, but they did it! Bonus points and freeleech on TL!
What's their oldest torrent these days? And do they still release 0day MP3 packs?Retention is also pretty good, I was able to download few torrents from even 2010

That only leaves the fact all of their members' usernames, e-mail addresses and hashed passwords have been breached This sort of incident only solidifies my policy of using complex and individual passwords and addresses for trackers, and Tor and disposable e-mail everywhere else.
Okies, but I was hoping you could at least make a quick checkI dont really keep up with mp3 stuff, mainly use it for movies/tv shows tho
People in "sensitive" countries have received copyright letters for using TL as early as 2010. Ten years and many open signups later, this is unlikely to have gotten any better. They're almost a semi-private tracker at this point.

Only if IPT is a slightly worse TL.

Depends on how you mean that. When it comes to boosting ratio, a seedbox will definitely help (and greatly benefit from the large amount of peers), but it's possible to get by with a home connection if you take advantage of freeleech, bonus points, and the usual tricks. It took them long enough, but TL no longer has the hard economy of the past, which made cheating a sort of community service as it was otherwise mathematically impossible for everyone to maintain a good ratio.
Now, if you're from one of those countries where your IP is best not seen on a torrent swarm, then I commend your advice. They're only somewhat less worse than a public tracker on that regard.
