Exactly. I believe the early version of Windows 8 was given out to various organisations, it wasn't kept within Microsoft's domain - thus it isn't necessarily an internal leak.

You'd best just remove everything and then install the new version - to avoid any potential conflicts. Just be sure to backup all your torrents and you shouldn't have a problem setting it up again....
