I think I know what you mean. Instead of "Just do it" you plan to do it and delay the task Although in my case I have to tag and prioritize when having several tasks.
I used a lot the tags feature, it helps me to organize and prioritize the emails. I just get used to use it with Gmail. Having a email hosting provider and Thunderbird has been working for me last...

I just switched from Gmail and Outlook to Thunderbird.
I think it has been improving a lot , nicer UI , tags , and add-ons that make Thunderbird very helpful.
