That makes sense, as 4.5.2 was the version I had installed before. I'll do my Windows reinstall today after dinner, stick .NET 4.7.2 on it (Handbrake and GARbro require it) and get back to you.

Okies, I'm on my new Windows now and took a little time to check this.
I can confirm that those registry keys are not enough to make RM+ use strong cryptography under .NET 4.7.2. Some experimenting revealed that this version of the Framework requires the Windows XP treatment with regards to TLS 1.2 - you have to explicitly specify that it's acceptable and you want to use it. If you run the following two commands, torrents from that tracker should work again.
I will now go back to the daunting task of setting everything up the way it was on the old install =]
any info about tls for every tracker?
Awesome! I'm gonna try these two registry keys at night! Thanks so much for the valuable experiment! :klatsch_3:
System backup tool may be useful in this case, like Symantec Ghost in XP era, or Macrium Reflect or Acronis True Image now. :wink2:
What exactly do you want to know?
I want to use an ISO of Windows 7 with all updates integrated, so a clean install is the only way :gsmile: Also, Ghost works fine to this day! I use version 12 whenever I need to clone anything and it does the job.
Anyway, Operation Reinstall had to be put on hold due to an issue causing massive DPC latency whenever I downloaded anything :gfrown: I'm back on my old install (which I did make a VHD backup of) for now. Hope the registry thingy works, it did in my tests.
It works like a charm! Finally, generating seed bonus can begin, woohoo!!
Yeah, Ghost and VHD, including WIM, all have their comparative advantages. Just sharing some highlights which push me moved to Macrium Reflect:
- Backup process does not need to logout Windows, and do not disturb us to do other parallel work in Windows.
- Incremental backup only records the difference since the last backup, which saves much disk space
- Flexible and powerful schedule plan.
eg. We can set up auto doing incremental backup every two weeks and auto delete backup images creating 6 months ago. In this way, once there is any failure in system, it can recover to any time point within half a year. more importantly, these dozens of backup images do not take up much space (incremental backups), and each backup process auto occurs in the background without taking up our attention.- EXT file system are also supported, in case we have both Windows and Linux on same computer.:wink2:
Nice! This should be documented somewhere, maybe by creating a "patch" that manages these registry keys, or even integrating that functionality into RM+ itself. The average user has no idea that Windows' TLS implementation can (and must) be customized like this, nor should he need to.
In light of this information, these are the Schannel tweaks I will use in the future (edit: last updated on October 22nd, 2020).

Why even if I set upload speed for seeding at 20000KB/s I'm always seeding at 250KB/s?
n00b question, but where does the downloaded files go to? (Which folder?)
Couldn't find the file downloaded nowhere :(
Maybe it just reported 100% download but didn't actually download the torrent?
Can you please create a client file for qBitTorrent v4.1.6?
Been using since almost about 8 years! This forum helped so much I can't even thank enough!
I can change the download speed but the upload speed is stuck at 250.00 kb/s
