This was not the first time I hear about this tracker and we have no review thread, so I took the time to do a little research. It seems they're a shining example of how to do things right, as far as the technical side of things is concerned.

With that said, SakuraCircle's releases fulfill my need for new hentai, and Pornolab's archive does the same for old stuff. Is there anything that makes oppaiti.me stand out (besides the security of not serving public torrents or having open registrations)?

You're welcome, even though I didn't actually answer your question. But if your real upload is at least 100 KB/s and you're willing to focus all of it on this tracker, here are some tips to get a good ratio without cheating.
Anything new will be anticipated to some degree. Stay tuned to https://ani.erokuni.net/upcoming-releases/ to know when stuff will come out. Usually raws are available within a day after they're released in Japan, and subbed versions spring up a few days later, but sometimes dates are pushed back, and rarely, slightly forward. Unless you know Japanese or don't care about plot, don't bother grabbing raws, most people will drop them as soon as subs exist.
Certain factors can boost the amount of upload you can expect to get from a particular torrent:
- Anything that's uncensored will be highly sought after simply because it doesn't have mosaics.
- Anything in HD or multiple resolutions will see the highest quality preferred by archivists, those looking to upgrade their copy, and of course people who want to watch the best version. Often the file size difference isn't that big. Not everything is available in something better than DVD-R, but there are very good upscales out there (e.g. HQR).
- Anything considered a classic title (made between 1990 and 2010) will get you a lot of upload but on the long run, not immediately.
- Over the last few years, Kitty Media has been licensing and releasing classic titles uncensored and in HD (and also with English voice tracks, but who cares about those). As you can see, those tick all the boxes mentioned before.
- One or two series with 5-minute episodes are released every year. Unlike most hentai, those are made for a female audience (Joshi Ochi and Overflow are good exceptions), but they're still very popular and you can get a ton of upload if you jump on them during the first few hours after they're posted.
If this tracker has eroge, keep an eye on https://vndb.org/r?fil=released-0;o=a;s=released. The amount of upload you can get from official English (re)releases of these games is insane. By the way, good eroge have the best balance of sex scenes vs. good storytelling and you should give the genre a try if you haven't already. No one does porn with plot like Japan :smilie4:
Don't download things you aren't interested or cross-seed from public torrents just to build ratio, that's bullshit.
