My father says he bought original licenses for Windows 10 Enterprise and the latest Office for $15 total. The seller sent them via e-mail... they have to be stolen keys, right? The price is extremely low, and I don't think the Enterprise edition is even sold to the public. :unsure:
Maybe, could be legit key leaked or could be totally legit redistributed key. However that's possible for other versions to my knowledge. The Enterprise edition is per user subscription, about $7 per month or $84 per year so I'm not sure but this could be 2 months subscription !?!. You wont really know until you actually try the key for a while or contact Microsoft yourself.
Try the key and update windows. If both works you're fine! :top:

You have two choices: either use the key until it gets blacklisted (maybe/maybe not) or call microsoft and talk to them.

Let me tell you a little story about calling microsoft:
In my former workplace, we had laptops with the licence key embedded in the BIOS/UEFI, in a table called MSDM. For each laptop, a manufacturer Windows disk was supplied. The key was OEM and it theoretically needed an OEM Windows edition. But I wanted for our deployment, to use a clean windows image, so I used whatever I found at the time, VL or Retail. The OEM keys were validated with no issues. However, a colleague of mine called microsoft and asked whether the the key and os activation ID matched. The microsoft operator said no, and is illegal because it had a Retail or VL edition using a OEM key. Of course, the operator was a moron because 1. all activation versions of windows, retail/OEM/VL can activate any other version and 2. they are trained to follow a specific path, if you take another path it will wronmgfully brand it with it won't work/illegal/etc. There is a thing challed activation channel in windows that is changed, it becomes whatever channel the key is. You install a VL edition, and use an OEM key, the windows will become OEM.
And this is the reason I do not recommend anyone calling microsoft.
My brother's employer (a company of 70,000 employees) sells a M$ combo to their employees: windows 10 (any version) plus office pro plus 1 TB of cloud for 69 euros. those are stand-alone licence that you can re-use on a newer computer (but no more than 3 computers at the same time), i.e. not OEM.
These are custom wholesale prices and conditions negotiated directly with M$.
$15 is too good to be true. They could be volume licenses and M$ might detect unusual activation.
Try the same key again on a different computer (VM or else), they may work again!
Might as well search for something called Microsoft PID Checker. I'll check your key and tell you exactly what it is.
The Office key stopped working two days ago. My dad called Microsoft and they had no record of that key being sold through official channels. When he said he'd also bought Windows 10 Enterprise for his "small business" (yeah, right), they asked for the contract number, which naturally he was unable to provide.
The worst part is that he was pretty angry at the support people, despite already knowing that $15 for these keys was implausibly low to be legitimate (turns out the real prices add up to $375).
Ah well, let that be a lesson to us all. If you want to buy a license and support the developers, get it from Microsoft or an authorized reseller, not the eBay version of this guy.

Instead of using an activator, try installing an old windows 7. (valid or not, doesn't matter to MS)
AFAIK you can still upgrade that legally to a win10 for free, despite that the time limit on that offer has passed.
He prefers a clean install over an upgrade, and so would I. Nice to know about that "amnesty", though, Microsoft must really want people to get on the Windows 10 train.
So you go from pirate W7 to legit W10?
I don't think it's still possible these days, unless I'm missing something here. I'm using Windows 8.1 here and the offer to upgrade to win 10 in windows update have gone.Quote:
