nah I agree, spoilers highly influence how you perceive the movie. I don't even watch trailers :/

so for example, alpacino cannot forget them spoilers, thus they are important to him (to avoid) when considering his movie watching experience ;)
Well that's great. Figures why for the past 7 years I have not been able to remember anything.Quote:

You see, I'm always trying to perfect my self, my studies and everyday the flow of data is so huge (blogs, forums, technical books, literature, movies, music) that the very next I have no ideea what I've learned the day before.
In order to not fully forget, I must write this knowledge down (using ononote). I keep notes on everything.
The problem might be that you're learning a lot of new things at once while not (just guessing here) actually applying them on a regular basis, or even at all. (e.g. reading about something, thinking it's super interesting but not doing anything with it afterwards)
I can't remember what I had for lunch, but I can remember the thickness of the stroke i used last week for that one design i was making. (2,2,5,5  )
If this is indeed the case, try standing still for a little while and give yourself time to consume the new knowledge. If you don't, it will just go to waste.
I never ever keep notes. It's my sure way to forget something because I end up not paying attention because I'm too busy taking notes. I just sit, listen and absorb :D Works well for me so far. (the absorbing part is key)
you remembered enough, even if your way of doing things seems less efficient than that of some other people and it may also be possible that you're too harsh on yourself for not fulfilling some imaginary theoretical expectationsQuote:

according to eastern philosophy it may take one many lifetimes to finally arrive at one's (life's) destination, so timescales may vary a lot - 7 years is peanuts compared to that
besides, your achievements can't be like those of other people, you have a unique path ahead of yourself (to discover)
if it really goes to 'waste' it means it had to happen!Quote:

you're confusing theory and practiceQuote:

theory guesses
practice proves
history is the 'recording' of practical outcomes, hence a collection of proofs
these practical outcomes are the only possible outcomes for every single historical situation in every single moment of time, with proof for every single one of them - in other words, they happened because nothing else was possible regarding the conditions
those millions are imaginary, it is a human habit to theorize due to not knowing what will happen or not being aware of the actual conditions at hand
but it is possible that multiple theories are in fact sound.
sure, that theory of millions of possibilities (where anyone can add new possibilities at will, creating new theories) is also sound before it gets proven or disproven by the practiceQuote:

this discussion is kind of looking in the wrong direction. Instead of looking backward and talking about what could have been, we should be talking forwards and how to prevent such things (like forgetting)
you sure you'd wanna do that? there's people who drink to forget...nepenthe ;)Quote:

Anyway, I think we should all lighten up and read Sazzy's first post.

"[I] just don't have anything interesting to contribute, at all", she said. That's cute.
