What do you want :eyebrows:
*envy*
2012 was my first and last time so far. Getting all my friends to come together and do something is just impossible. Last time I tried they were like "no, it's wintertime and so cold right now", even 1. it was also wintertime last time we went, and 2. we all ended up soaking wet from getting splashed with water on a pirate-themed ride :wermm:
When setteling for a master password for keepass, what would be a good length? What is good and what is overkill? I'm think of using a 200 length password.
The longest and most entropic password you can remember is the best!
I'm suddenly remembering when I found a savegame editor for a very old version of ADOM. I was so amazed by this discovery I made a copy of it and the game to a floppy disk, and carried that everywhere I went.
Being able to get any item in the game, what did my 13 year old self do? Create an amazing leather armor [+0, +5] (normal ones are [+0, +2]) and a long bow with 500 arrows. Oh, and also give my dark elf characters silver hair and amber eyes, even though that had zero gameplay effect, just because it sounded cool =]
anon, apart from what you may think, there is no secure password that can be remembered. Anything that can be remembered is not secure. Trust me on this.
As my new internal security standard, all accounts have 32 characters with 250 bits entropy.
Keepass should have a big-ass password. The problem is, how do you make it easy to use? On windows I use the -pw-enc parameter. Works quite well.
But on Android it is a nightmare. If I'm on the street I cannot type a very long password on my phone.
200 is definitely overkill, how would you remember that?
It all depends on what you're securing yourself against.
