I think yes...
We have a new posts list
There's no need for this in that case. Just make sure you put each one in a separate folder with its own config.Quote:
Suppose I don't want to run multiple clients at the same time; I just want to be able to run an un-mod versions at times, and mods at others times--not two or more at the same time. Do I have to follow this method?
Original.exe is official uTorrent + everything listed under "Mod Features" in the release post.Quote:
Also if I have a uT mod installed, can I run the "Original.exe" by itself and will it perform as an un-mod version?
To put it a different way, the answer is yes.
maybe if portable version is available will be better and easier.
It's not really that hard. :P
Create an empty settings.dat file and it's portable.
Chronic laziness much?
Did someone tried this method with serenity? Didnt work for me...
Say, you only start utorrent when you want to download something. When you double-click the .torrent extension the executable will open as default.
Here's a way to fix that:
If the extension is registered to utorrent type in a command line: assoc .torrent
It will give you the real extension name which is registered under windows.
Then type ftype EXTENSION="PATH TO EXEC IN QUOTES" /recover %1
This is an old thread, but I just have a simple question; can I juse VEM and uTorrent SBI at the same time with the same ID on the same tracker? say I'm using uTorrent Expansion SBI Leecher Pack v21 which is uTorrent 3.5.3 Build 44428, and I'm running VEM with spoofing the client ID to uTorrent 3.5.3 Build 44428 and I'm using the ratio tool on torrent on VEM and I'm faking 100% seeding on another torrent with uTorrent SBI, but they are on the same tracker at the same time (I know that VEM can fake 100% seeding too but I'm using uTorrent SBI for that). In the tracker would they appear as I'm using two clients with the same ID, version and IP, but the port is diffrent which will make things suspicious, or would they appear as one client?
The port isn't a problem if you don't mind being unconnectable in one of the clients (the one you run last), just set the same one on both. But there is also the key value which will differ between both and can't be set manually in BiglyBT.
Bottom line: not recommended.
sounds stupid but you could run another utorrent in a virtual machine, I wouldn't be surprised if you could find a light weight linux image already configured for torrent.
Hello Sir.
how can i use this method with in qbittorrent? i am trying but not working.. could you please help me.
Thanks
I see no information about making qBittorrent portable on their wiki nor have I attempted to do so myself, but there's https://portableapps.com/apps/intern...rrent_portable. Running multiple instances of it from different directories should work.
