LOL. No worries at all, Stickbutt.
No worries at all.
ok i Read your Tutorial. i have few questions for you & others also..
1. can i enter any random Alpha-Numeric Combination as my New Spoofed Mac Address? or is it better to Stay With the MacGen.exe provided by Splicer?
2. Do i have to Also reconfigure my Router/Modem setting? or What is Router Spoofing?
3. and lol, what do u mean by 3rd point of your Disclaimer?
you can actually change your MAC addy by putting in 'Imacheater' if you want.
You can put in an alpha-numeric also if you want.
Shouldn't be much of a difference.
about router spoofing...well, as you know the router is the gateway for the host it's spoofing, yes??
You see if there isn't a route in one direction, then most likely there is no route in the other direction.
But to straight forward in answering your question: the router's mac addy stays the same for the lan side but it is broadcasting a different mac address to you ISP. It'll be valid for any one host to assume a MAC address of a system that's configured as the router remains valid for a long period of time.
So in essence, I don't believe so.
Have a look around and ask Google-god to see what he can come up for you.
Google-god is a nice guy.
and about the third entry:
You see, if and when you do any of this stuff AND your comp blows up and hits the ceiling and splatters your dinner plate with all it's yummy food all over the ceiling too and then hits you square on the top of your head....you still can't blame me. :D
No, you can't. It has to be six hex bytes, i.e. 12 digits going from 0 to 9 and A to F.
I'm no router expert, but as far as I know, if you're using one, there should be an option for MAC cloning on its Web interface. Enable it, then spoof your network card's MAC address. Your router should use the new one, which as SealLion said, is the one your ISP will see.Quote:

Yup. I stand corrected then re: MAC addy's combination.
I read somewhere...can't recall where though that someone input into thier machine a fake MAC addy and had it as a sentence of some sort.
Oh, well. Doesn't matter, though.
well, maybe that's why. Using leetspeak, then.
putting that inside the software (Macshift) you mean??
HOw has it worked for you when inputting that inside Macshift's command line parameter??
have you been successful with it??
I don't see that bash command randomizing anything tho, it just dumps range of possible MACS to file.
