Not the first time. I remember the first got global banned for suspected being trader (which I was not). So f*ck it :naughty:
OK that makes sense !!
Plus the members went to Orpheus ditching RED and contributing there gives the sense the effort of contributing is divided but that was the case with Waffles & What.cd as well.
I totally agree though. It's kinda different objective all together in this time.
True. Given their initial invite policies, I thought Xanax would become the next What.cd with PTH being Waffles, but it played out the opposite way. Fine by me, as long as we have at least one of each.
Now we need a Waffles for movies and a Waffles for TV, but that's a different matter...
It's much harder now to get back in with invites being rare. Who is gonna invite you to PTP and BTN if you get banned? Ever thought of that?

But PTP and BTN are even better than them, though they're hard to join. But if you do get in you're set for life.
Addendum to post #15: freeleech did exist in per-torrent and global varieties during the early days of What.cd, but tokens did not. They were added after staff got tired of global freeleeches invariably DDoSing the tracker due to the extreme surge of activity. Neutral leech became a thing around the same time.
Initial upload credit wasn't in until late 2008; my first account started with zero traffic. At least ATRAC and ALAC were allowed formats for a while... but was autosnatching a thing back then?
Combine all this with the low upload speeds of the time, and of course many would try to cheat. If RED has a "hard economy", this and the TL and FileList/MP3/Porn of yore were tough as diamond (TL was the tracker that made me discover ratio cheating).
No. I stopped thinking/dreaming about torrent trackers long time ago. I was fool then and I'd be fool now. Every time I enter such a shitty elite tracker I never download really from it except was for sharing and uploading actually. This including the ones with good archive like PTP/BTN/HDBits/Exigo. Not even once got something to WATCH it. It's fucking shit show. So I'll be fine !.
That and very much this
I'm set with IPT & RuTracker :DQuote:
Perhaps he's not as traumatized as you by the prospect of losing those accounts

Got me that way exactly. True that about movies & tv too.
Alright I found a way to get easy legit upload on RED so I'm not gonna cheat anymore. For anyone curious, just browse bandcamp for free releases that aren't on RED. There's a litteral fuckton out there. It's not as effortless as faking ratio but it goes way faster than my method, and for 0 risk.
Soon RED will only have Bandcamp rips and seedboxes autosnatching them from each other.
Hahaha
Unfortunately only 4 GB counted out of my 12 GB upload, and this is a day after, so I'm thinking the 8 GB are probably never gonna come back. I can't even report this (not that anything would get done anyway) since I wouldn't want them to look at my stats too closely... ^^''
I mostly agree but strongly disagree with you about PTP and BTN as they're both ratiofree and content wise they're easily better than ipt and rutracker combined, specially PTP. PTP has a BP system so it's easy to survive and users in their forum generously hand out BPs. It's got the content of RED/What and a BP system more generous than OPS. Agree with you that HDbits and Exigo is mostly crap but not PTP and BTN.
The best part about PTP is that you can find the rarest of rare movies in multiple HD formats including 480P and 576P. It's as if the director of the movie ripped his own movie in multiple formats and uploaded them all there. Their catalog is mindblowing. BTN is too but yes if all you download are mainstream shows like Ted Lasso then you don't need them.
One piece of advice: never stop torrents or close your client while the tracker is down, or else your traffic for that session will be lost forever. Be patient and it'll get through eventually.
In any case, you would do well in uploading many more torrents than are required for your target class (at least thrice as much), as an inactivity insurance of sorts in case you can't keep seeding them at some point... because most autosnatchers won't.
