What are you nuts? I sit all day in a chair. Transportation to and from work by sitting down, work - sitting down, home - sitting down.

Physical exercise is important, you lazy geek :wermm:
By the way, guess which school has given their IT staff money to buy things! :w00t: This is my shopping list for tomorrow:

I'm dreaming of a new printer for my office and some of these these ultra-cheap USB infrared adapters I saw the other day, but let's not bite more than I can chew for now.
Last year, there was a post by you where you said we're all already living and doing the best we possibly can, and any possible changes for the better will get done only when we're ready for it. The first time, I thought that while there may be some merits to that view depending on context, that's mostly something lazy people tell themselves to be content and rationalize their behavior (something like "misery is comfortable; happiness requires effort").
Then some things happened to me, I took the time to think them through, and among a few realizations I had was that your comment was right - and why.
Why do I mention this? Because maybe the same will happen with the post I'm quoting.
The good news is that my power supply was able to be repaired (that's why I asked how to test it in my other thread; working fine so far). The capacitors were blown, probably when the surge protector started failing.
What if the same events take on a different meaning years later? Would you say you were partially exposed?
Of course. You have to be able and willing to act based on those positive intentions. Nothing will get done otherwise.Quote:
positive actions = positive results works but first one needs to know what exactly is a positive action - otherwise you sometimes get this: positive intentions = positive actions and 'the road to hell is paved with good intentions'

Agreed completely.
Someone I forgot to mention in post #1587 is my English teacher from fourth grade, who noticed I was very good at the language, and so met with my mother specifically to make her sign me up at one of the government-sponsored English schools in the city. She did; I ended up skipping two years because I already knew the contents, and graduated with an excellent score. Without that, we may not be talking here right now. Foreign language education in regular schools, except for a select few that take it seriously, is largely superficial here. They basically teach you how to pass the next exam and then forget the concepts.
I learned that exists from City Hunters - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I remember staying up until relatively late in the night to watch that show or sometimes even a movie on Fox, then discuss it the day after with one of my friends, who usually watched the same channel. Since then, he's moved to another province, and I stopped relying on TV in favor of pirate downloads. :gnoes:

Anyway, there's also a book titled "Everything You Know About Sex Is Wrong" that covers this subject, among many other things.
In Soviet Russia, stuff finds you! :01:
Fifty Shades of Maddox: Maddox's Fan Fiction Emporium
There is an interesting story being told here, but we're missing some details.Quote:
saw an alien last night. It took my socks.
I threw my microphone at him.
Cheaters among tracker staff? No way!
Five years ago, someone spread the rumor I was one such cheater. I wonder what they'd gain from that... smearing the tracker's reputation, maybe?
