Sometimes, yes. But I would also say "the second day is always better than the first".
3 different conclusions, all applicable depending on the context:
all days are equally good regarding their purpose in your life and regarding the purpose of all the events happening in a day, throughout the whole universe in general
since every new day brings you closer to the destination of your life's journey (aka destiny), it could be said that every following day is better than the previous one
since some days may not provide a pleasant experience or may cause temporary setbacks on your journey, it could be said that those days are worse than the others

this take part from the working system : ahh...It's Monday - Yey it's Friday - that bs - we are not the slaves of working days or the system - once you taking serious the working days mental manipulation system, it's normal to feel bad on monday and happy on sunday or like shit on Tuesday because it's in front of friday - or on wensdey because is the middle of the week and so on...all days are equally i agree with slikrapid - it's only up to you based on prior experience (or mass mentality opionions about working days) how much value good or bad you give them to make you feel bad or happy- don't let days to control your mood or state - it's only up to you to control your state - or as a figure of speech you control them to be good or bad not vice versa
