Intrusion detection system.. Help me with this topic (Exam on monday)

i have a exam on monday my syllabus is vast.. i have 4 books on computer networks n yet it isn't in them..

All i need is
1. what IDS
2. How it works
3. Types
4. architecture
5. some good block diagrams

Can someone help me with this within 12 hours? actualy i don't have time right now to seach.. i have to finish syllabus... Any links or pdf or any help is appreciated.. That's y i was absent from sbi for 2 days.. datesheet just appeared on college website n 1st exam so soon :O

This reminds me of how great I was with school time management. Twice I wrote essays we had been given a month to do just a few hours before the deadline - and passed. :01:

took three schools and the right girl, then finally i didn't wait until the last night to prepare for exams. the first two always studying the girls instead of the books. but finally i learned what i should and the time arrangement priorities led to good things :idunno:

I only did otherwise when I was new and didn't know how things worked.

A memorable instance of this:

A biology exam was scheduled for the following day. I texted a friend who was at a cafe, asking him to prepare some notes so that we could print two copies when I got there (I was at a PE class), and study off those that night. When I reached the place, he had just opened MS Word and the document was empty; almost punched in the face when I saw it :lol:

It was earlier that same year that we discovered we could get together to type and print digital summaries of our school notes - an activity I remember fondly now. But it apparently was not meant to be on this particular occasion... except on our way home, we dropped by another nearby cafe to say hi, because we saw a friend of his was also inside. That ended with the both of them playing Counter-Strike while I typed and copied the notes. In less than 15 minutes, because that was as much time as we could afford with the money we had on us.

We also passed that exam.

Looking back, this particular school perhaps demanded almost nothing from us.
