Thread: Google Code for free music

  1. #1

    Google Code for free music

    Code:
    -inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:”index of” +”last modified” +”parent directory” +description +size +(wma|mp3) “artist or song”

Internet is our friend to find even the rarest information out there...
Sometimes when p2p fails, some dude will have uploaded the songs we want on his site.
So the code above is gonna make it easier to find those songs.

    What you have to do:

1.You see the “artist or song” part of the code.Use the name of a band you want there instead of that. For example - pink floyd or porcupine tree

2.Now Copy the code to Google search area.Click search

    3.You should see something like

4.Now copy that address to create a new bookmark.Paste it in the Location tab

5.Somewhere in that address should be the "pink.floyd" or "porcupine.tree" after + symbol.Erase that word and replace it with %s. (eg = "%s")

In the keyword part of that bookmark, use a simple one word like music. The 'name' of the bookmark doesn't matter but the word in the 'keyword' area should be easy to remember and easy to type

6.Click save and you are done

To test - In the address bar of FF type - music Katatonia
You should see the same results as before but for Katatonia...

    \o/

    Tip -

*Its a good idea to use period(.) instead of space( ).
Like instead of 'Queens Of The Stone Age' use 'Queens.Of.The.Stone.Age'

*The code is pretty simple to understand. What -inurl does is remove all those 'htm' or 'html' or 'php' pages which are pretty useless anyway

*If you don't want .wma files remove the 'wma|' part from the code

If you have any doubt or if I've missed something, please comment...

This trick isn't just for music. You can find all kinds of stuff (even movies on real DDL) with it. You may also get more results if you only use some or just one of the operators between "inurl" and "+size" instead of all of them at the same time.

For movies you're likely to get results if you search for the original filename, as present inside the Scene RARs. Torrents can also be found by using filetype:torrent.
