Can’t Login to IPTorrents? Here’s Why

If you are a member of the popular private BitTorrent tracker IPTorrents (IPT) you may have come across some strange errors yesterday and today. As we were informed by several of our readers, almost everyone seemed to get the following message when trying to log into IPT: “Username or password incorrect.”. First of all don’t panic – you haven’t been banned form the tracker (unless you did something stupid such as cheating). Second of all it’s not a fault at your end. What happened was that IPT’s database crashed and everyone’s passwords got re-set.

UPDATE: It seems the DB has been restored so recovering may not be required at all.

If you had problems logging in these past days, just try your old password, should be fine.

what a bad move. i lost all my upload from cod2.
they're not exactly pro admins as it seems

same here lost some GBs and even bonus points
But i feel quite happy beccause i know of users and friends who couldnt log in the whole day , yesterday
they had logged out and IPT didnt allow to use their accounts back .
they tried recover password link but as we know IPT mail server was down
today few were able to get the accounts back but the whole issues was a bad one for the guys and gals who cherish their IPT and even nourish it with seedboxes

If you're talking about real upload, send an admin an screenshot of your client's "Uploaded" column and you may get it back.

well, it would probably be a difficult thing to accomplish, as there could be many users wanting to improve their ratio situation on the tracker
an easier solution would be to give users some bonus or a freeleech week or something in that manner

Yep, was about to say the same. If they gave everyone their lost GBs they'd be flooded with hundreds of requests.

well, let's say they didn't exactly act very smart in this case.
anyway i don't see any problem in getting the lost seed amount back
