    @yoco: don't think so, couldn't find any

    notice hopkins mentioning the cats (2nd video), vatican being infested by them & don't 'let them in' (remember the vampire movie where they couldn't attack someone unless he 'lets them in', ie. symbolically lowers his defenses, gets susceptible/vulnerable), cats being symbols of hidden knowledge & unpredictable nature (to averagely informed individuals), a hint at hidden secrets of the church(es) (in media and beneath in its dungeons & catacombs) and their aim to acquire spiritual/religious rule over the world or as much as they can get under their authority

    see how the viewers are once again separated into two opposing camps: believers & skeptics, whereas the truth actually lies somewhere between or beyond this artificial choice (but they won't offer it to you, not even as a suggestion of possibility, for you are told to have the right/freedom to choose, but what they meant by it is to choose between choices prepared by religious authorities), whereas they hold the keys (notice them on the screen in the projection room) of these prepared places (lets call them 'heaven' & 'hell', regardless of the perceived connotations/implications), naturally there is the 'inspired by true events' claim to fortify the movie events/messages and there is a feeling of skeptics being buttered-up when the wise old priest despite of his knowledge/experience gets possessed and now the young one has to save him (though discarding his skepticism in the process, which makes a believer out of him after all, ie. another 'win' by the church)

    a few things are certain: the church talks a lot but tells little, aims high but pretends being modest, has many published writings but a lot of them hidden/confiscated as well, its symbolism is abundant but offers only shallow explanations, claims supreme authority but plagiarizes the contents, boasts male/female equality yet without practicing it, and so on and so forth...oh, and btw. the situation is not much better in the skeptics (aka 'scientific') camp either in case you wondered...

    anyways, hopkins looks good, being above average as usual, the rest of the cast somewhat unconvincing, the story could use some more interesting twists, we'll see what happens...

    You mean Anthony Hopkins disappointed you in this flick, Blocker 'ol buddy??
    I think the only times that I actually really appreciated Hopkins was in his 'cannibal' films. You remember those, eh?? <----Canucks, for some reason use this
    Those films were a bit far fetched; however, I did enjoy the 'chilling' effect that Hopkins gave in those films.
    By-the-way, the music for the film was, in my mind, very, very entrancing.

    The music, apparently was composed by Patrick Cassidy.

    It's called Vide Cor Meum. Apparantly, the music is from a sonnet that a very famous poet made up. The sonnet is La Vita Nuova
    Nevertheless, if your not familiar or don't recall the music, here is what I believe, is some very entrancing and artful music.

    If that doesn't do it for me. Then I don't know what would.

    Here of course is Sarah Brightman's version. One of the commentators there, where you usually find scap-fights between other reviewers, says that the version of Vid Cor Meum is a bit strong and I think he's correct.

    Sarah Brightman, as beautiful as she is with that fantastic figure of hers, still does make a very good version of it.

    Here's her version. The video is kind of crap, but it's the music to why I"m presenting it.

    .........Aaannndd heeeerrrrrrsss Sarah:

    Hope you enjoyed the music as much as I did.

    He descending, will Himself,
    in thunder, lightning, and loud trumpet’s sound,
    ordain them laws".

    @yoco:

    you think i'd recommend it without first watching it?

    whats wrong with it anyways? imo it was a quite decent epic historic adventure with good performances from hopkins, jolie, kilmer & farrell, less focused on battles but still very enjoyable
