I'm dedicating this thread to questions regarding buying decisions, recommendations, best-buy stuff and so on.
I need some help choosing some quality speakers. Budget range maximum 300$ (~1100 lei / ron).
Would like suggestions to come from what is available on these sites:

I was thinking of buying these Boxe Microlab SOLO 7C NEW - PC Garage but what do you guys think?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but quality speakers cost more than 300$ (per speaker even)
If talking a pc speaker set, these are pretty much the only ones worth looking at:
Boxe Logitech 5.1 Z906, 500W RMS - eMAG.ro
I hate 5.17.1 speakers. Just looking for some bookshelf speakers.
What is there to hate about it? Worst case you don't plug in the rear. Bam: 3.1 speaker set
Anyway, the runner up to the Z906 is the Z623: Boxe Logitech 2.1 Z623, 200W RMS, Negru - eMAG.ro
(Personally I love the M-Audio Studiophile AV 40 )

You see I had a cheap audio system, my first audio system, a Genius
I had the following problems with it:
- some games like skyrim didn't support 5.1/7.1, for instance very lound sounds were unhearable while others were too loud. I always had to change the driver from stereo to 5.1 and back again
- video players not fully supporting surround sound. Most of the time rear speakers didn't work, only center front and left. Had a tough time trying to use ac3 filter to work with 5.1.
- web browser always outputted stereo.
Every problem I had was software based.
If everything is stereo, why buy a 5.1 system when it's main purpose is to listen in surround mode? Besides I never liked the fact that each satelite has a different sound frequency/spectrum. You hear different sounds comming from each of them.
I think it is a waste buying 5.1 speakers to just use them as stereo speakers.
I see. That's weird. Everything works fine here in 5.1. You're right it's not worth the extra cash in your case.
So you've encountered no issues with 5.1/7.1 whatsoever? Do you used them in surround mode or stereo?
I don't have a 7.1 set so I don't know, but I do have a receiver with 5.1 speakers hooked up to it attached to my media center. It works very well and surround works perfectly. (windows 8.1 atm, but also worked fine on win 7)

I'm looking for some floorstand speakers and am amplifier.
Budget for the speakers is 2000 ron maximum / 500$ and also help me choose and amplifier for them from this category https://www.avstore.ro/amplificatoare/.
Hopefully now we'll have a much wider spectrum.
