Lucius hi, i tried to fake downloading( before fake uploading)
And something going wrong, after 2 hours i checked leechers list on torrent tracker and i see next:
down.speed - 8mb as per RM, progress - 50% as per RM, but downloaded traffic 5mb when in RM - 40Gb
is it my trouble or torrent tracker?

Nice catch. If anyone can find which version started using the new library, I'll be pleased to update all my client files accordingly.

Never mind, Lucius just gave me a hand with this. Only 4.0.4 is affected by the change.

Hi Some new user 2cents would be nice, altho I understood 80% of it w/out a manuscript, I was even self taught the Ratio Master v1+ years ago(2014 july based on my last visited), some like safety tips would be nice, I'm seeding on this forum, and I want to be in top 10 seeders but not near top 3,

For now it seems to me there's no global speed control? The speed on the "Quick Add" found in settings? does it affect globally? I accidentally placed 100 didn't realized it was in KB unlike in individual torrents are in 'B' but even accidentally applying 100 KB my upload speed didn't skyrocket, AKA I dont know what this do, is it for fooling the tracker or actual DL/UL speed?

Is this tab actual DL speed or for fooling the tracker?

Like what settings are for fooling the tracker and what are your actual UP speed.

That might make no sense I mean any settings in the Advanced Tab > Automatic Speeds, even I put but those numbers, it always fluctuates to less than the minimum and even 0 KB.

The settings in the Quick Add is the same, goes to 0 upload, the only thing reliable is the right-click on torrent > Upload Speed > then select or input your own.

There is no global speed limit, that's a planned feature if I remember correctly.

The Quick Add settings control the default values for when you add a torrent, nothing more.

I don't understand the questions about "actual speed or fooling the tracker", everything in this program is for fooling the tracker as it doesn't transfer any files.

Well, I just tried it myself on both trackers. My ratio was updated correctly, and on Filelist, everything worked as expected. However, torrents from free-torrents.org do get stuck on "Reconnecting" when you stop them. I did a little research and found that their tracker responses to event=stopped look like this:

Note the following:

• empty HTTP response body, which is nonstandard: all trackers answer to a "stopped" announce with at least an interval and an empty peers dictionary;
• Connection: close but lack of Content-Length header;
• chunked transfer mode and gzip content encoding are claimed for a response body that is, once again, empty.

My guess is that one or more of those quirks makes RM+ think it hasn't received a reply, causing this problem. The good news is that the announce does get through, so as a workaround you can stop those torrents again after a few seconds. This will remove the "reconnecting" status without any consequences.
