What's with everyone going for tablet these days

Amazon is planning to release it's Kindlified tablet soon.

Btw , anyone here has used the Kindle before ? I have heard that it's sleek & sexy.

I dunno about sexy, but I've got one and I like it.

A lot of people also like the new Nook Touch, but I haven't given it a spin yet. People argue for one or the other over some relatively pragmatic principles... but if your a savvy pirate, it all boils down to personal taste and what form factor you want to deal with on a daily basis.

I really dislike tablets though. So unless it's the hyper-mythic color e-ink screen--I'm doubting I'm going to be too interested. Amazon has always had a "just an e-reader" mantra about it's Kindle... that it's a device made solely for reading... based around the needs of readers. But once you've gone to a tablet, there are some pretty basic expectations that have to be met or you'll get some backlash.

Anyway, eagerly awaiting the press release to see what the real deal is like.
