So should I uninstall all versions and install latest?
I noticed that after I upgraded Java my Firefix opens really slowly. It's not working as before.

Does it uninstall old Java after I click on "remove" cuz it only opens a log file?

You Are So Bad :tongue:
Ontopic i think that you can remove the "runtime enviroment 5.0 update 4 "
the latest is already instaled "runtime Env 6 + updates " so 5.0 it's installed for nothing now.
LaterEdit:
If it's open only the log file means the Unistall is corrupt so i think you must remove all versions and install the latest 6.0 again.

It should after you click "Remove old versions". What does the log say?
Yea it does remove, it says "Found and removed" :biggrin:
Good to hear that. If there are any other JRE's or Updates at "add or remove programs", you could uninstall them, reboot, and then install the latest Runtime environment (http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp), so as to make sure everything's clean.
I did as you said, but my Firefox won't open. Process "firefox.exe" is in Taskbar Manager, but it won't open. It's driving me crazy. I tried with new install but nothing changes!
:mad2:
Close Firefox. Go to %APPDATA%\Mozilla\ Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\ and open prefs.fs. Look for the following line:
user_pref("security.enable_java", true);
Change it to:
user_pref("security.enable_java", false);
Save and close the file. Try running Firefox again, go to Tools -> Options -> Content, tick "enable Java", and restart the browser. Hopefully it should start now.
If the problem persists; close FF, rename/delete all files with the word "extensions" (extensions.ini, extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, etc.) on their name, and reopen the browser. This could solve the problem at the cost of losing all your addons.
I'll try your way tommorow. Right now I'm scaning for trojans and viruses.

coz of the older version hackers or crackers with bad sites or pop up sites..can hack into pc via java script..so new java wont let them do..coz it has some security reasons to pass before enter into pc..thats why..always use newer version of java
via source i get this:--->
Remove your old versions of Java. The older versions of Java are heavily exploited by Vundo. When you install a new version of Java you are not removing the old version, it stays on your computer.
here is the link its 3 page article..read it..there
http://www.maximumpc.com/article/howtos/ultimate_malware_removal_guide_purge_your_pc_junk_ files
You may be right with that, but in that case it's not Java "protecting" your PC against malware, but rather Java patching a vulnerability that was exploited by malware.
And Java != JavaScript
