'Slumdog' breaks $200m box office barrier

Slumdog Millionaire has taken more than $200 million (£140 million) at the worldwide box office.

Variety reports that the Oscar-winning movie has now reached the $217 million (£153 million) mark for cinema takings.

The rags to riches tale cost $15 million (£10.6 million) to make and distributors Fox Searchlight predict that the box office total will end up topping $250 million (£177 million).

Definitely one of the best movies last year. Really deserves this much attention :wink:

I can only recommend to watch it in English, Snitlev... It's actually very easy to understand. I always mistrust German synchronization in cases like this :wink:
