How do you turn off update in JDownloader?

Never fails in the .jar linux version of this POS program, it downloads updates then stops working properly. Is there any way to turn that feature off? Thanks.

Go to configurations (by pressing F11) switch to advanced configuration as you can see in the "main".
Uncheck "Webupdate start automatically" and activate "update only at user request".
I guess this should make it.
