View Full Version : intall-less apps
hallo,
According what I understand, you want a program that can move another one to somewhere else, and update its registry settings/configuration files/etc. for the new location, right? Application Mover (http://www.funduc.com/app_mover.htm) can do that.

I think you could achieve that with Advanced Uninstaller PRO or Perfect Uninstaller.
Sandboxie could also work if you create a new sandbox just for the program you'll install, and when setup is done, have a close look at all the folders and registry keys (RegHive file) that have been created inside the sandbox.
Sandboxie klingt gut...
die anderen 2 programme sind schareware
gibt es noch andere (freie) programme?
Advanced Uninstaller isn't free, and it seems that both progs were nothing but Add/Remove Programs frontends :frown:
Total Uninstall (http://total-uninstall.softonic.com/) seems to be one of the "real" third party uninstallers - those that monitor every disk and registry change a setup program makes, then record them and give you the chance of rolling back - but it isn't free, either.
Just looked up InstallRite. It seems to be pretty much exactly what you need

Hey.. were on a Leecher's board here.... here it doesn't matter if something isn't free :)
Illegal Contents
No illegal contents! Porn, Warez, Cracks, Racist contents and everything else forbidden by german law isn't allowed here.
No warez on our board.

What shoulder said
Truth be told, everyone here knows how to get around having to pay for an application - so there's no need to put our board at risk with illegal content.
@aaaaab: I agree with that. Open source products often work so good that you think they'd deserve your money
That was quite unusual, I thought:
from German to English to German to English to German.... WHAT??!!
from German to English to German to English to German.... WHAT??!!
That's how we handle it, since I can't speak german and aaaaab's english isn't very good  (no offense man )
it's funny with 2 languages
but we understand us. ;)
sometimes helps the google-translation :P
sometimes helps the google-translation :P
That's most of the time for me

You can use Thinstall (now called ThinApp) to "portabilize" almost any program :top:
