View Full Version : foobar 2000
well i really need help about this one. since windows 3.1 that i dont see anything like this, i mean giving me so much trouble to acomplish something...!!!!
1? what is samurize? why ppl use it whit foobar what does it do?
2? the best plugins for foobar? :frown:
3? did u found out about a tutorial? share whit me please :frown:
thank you
I don't use Foobar2000, but this is the information I've found:
1. Samurize is a free program that can show information on the desktop, a bit like widgets. Many people combine it with Foobar to display song lyrics or controling the player without opening it. foo_textinfo.dll is a plugin that lets you do this.
2. Some of the best audio enhancing plugins seem to be:
Equalizer
VLevel - necessary at low listening levels
Crossfeed - for headphones.
Convolver
3. Check this (http://www.fooblog2000.com/getting-started-with-foobar2000) out...
thank you , thank you, thank you :) Anon.

Good luck! :top:
If you know the plugin's or its DLL's name, post it here so that I can check if I can find it, too.

Well, isn't that good? Since if you don't want to customize your copy, not doing anything is enough, but if you do want to do it, you learn new things and have fun in the meantime.

this one is for winamp users: http://www.myplugins.info/
very cool and usefull stuff there.
my favorites plug-ins untill know:
foo_prettypop - shows a popup everytime a new song strats whit the pic of the album and the details of the song
foo_shutdown - good for when we whant to make auto-shutdown, kill foobar and the pc.
foo_scheduler
foo_playcount - the one that wont start.
a little foobar tutorial: http://lifehacker.com/software/media-player/hack-attack-roll-your-own-killer-audio-player-with-foobar2000-245359.php
Try using this version (http://stephan.kochen.nl/proj/foobar2000.html#playcount) of foo_playcount instead - seems to be more up-to-date.
Regarding fooCDtect, I couldn't find anything right now, but I'll have a closer look later. :top:

Discogs plugin downloads whatever art is available for the album, but it requires some input (meaning it wont get done in one click)
A very similar alternative to foobar2000 for linux is DeaDBeeF.
You can watch this screen cast to find out more about this application.
