was genau bewirken denn die sharelevels in diesem mod?

my opinion is neither of them.

maybe detected.

you can write modstring yourself.

i write emule v0.49b and nick name is *emule-project.net

so,let others think i'm using official client

* stands for http://

that's not right....
if you make it as you write its see for others "eMule 0.49b [eMule 0.49b]

the things what you write in the field is only for the Modstring [ ] and not for the Version like 49b....:rolleyes2:

i think sending modstring is only usefull if the mod uses some extra protocols for example intelligent chunk selection, lowid 2 highid callback, webcache etc.

This mod has Share only the Need, Global hard limit, among others... are those considered "extra protocols" and announced as such to other clients? If you claim to support them, but don't send a modstring, would you be picked up as a ghost mod?
And you mentioned "intelligent chunk selection" in your post, is this related to Selective Chunk Sharing?

I have found only one maybe bug: I cannot change my nick in this mod. I change it, but when I start this mod again, nick will change back to ZZ-RS...

I have found only one maybe bug: I cannot change my nick in this mod. I change it, but when I start this mod again, nick will change back to ZZ-RS...

Doesn't happen here, just tried it several times and my custom nick was still there.
Maybe doing a clean install (move ZZ-R's EXE to another folder and run it) helps.

It's interesting... It was already clean install, but I tried run again the exe alone, but I got still the same result...

But then I got an idea. The nick I tried to enter was standard emule nick "http://emule-project.net". So I tried to enter something else and it worked.

So now it seems that default nicks "http://emule-project.net" and "http://www.emule-project.net" are refused by ZZ-RS mod and it's overwritten with "ZZ-RS" - this behavior is probably hard-coded...

Please, can someone confirm it? And if my presumption is true, is there someone who knows if there is any way to use one of the standard nicks without need to reenter it with every emule start?

Thanks.

I entered a random nick, that must be why I didn't have the issue. But I have just tried to set my nick to "http://emule-project.net" like you, and it got reset to "ZZ-RS" after a restart, too.

We'll have to wait and see what system28 and umeK say about this, it's probably there for a good reason.

Thank you for your test and confirmation...

I think that the reason for this behavior is some kind of propagation of the mod on all clean installations of emule where no custom nick is used yet so the mod will change it to its name and send it to ed2k net as user nick...

The reason why I tried to use this nick was better anonymity... so if some future version of this mod would have some option to disable this feature I would be very grateful for it
