can you give us a recommendation of sets in ZZ-R I and ZZ-R II ? seems to be nice ,but complicated, too.
@xixifrank: There are no "recommended" settings - they'll always differ based on your connection and personal preferences. But here are the ones I'd use:
ZZ-R I
http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/9945/zzr1dq9.gif
ZZ-R II
http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/7481/zzr2yn9.gif
Mods with DLP or Argos can detect me as a "ghost mod" and reduce my score because of enabling the "send no modstring" option, but I use it for added security.
If you want to know what all those features do, check this site (http://wiki.emule-web.de/index.php/Category:Features) :top:
And what speed do you get whit these options? What's even you connection?
I have a 3Mbit connection. (384 down, 32 up)
My ISP throttles all kinds of P2P traffic, so speeds will never go higher than 30kB/s... :mad2:
But back when it didn't, I'd always get at least 10-20 extra kbs than when using the "regular" options.
If the file was popular and I was connected to more than 20 sources, I'd max out my line
why you have Nick-Addon-Faker and the "Emulates" turned off? I think you have more speed with this enabled.
I haven't enabled them just in case other mods with anti-leech protection detect me...
Or are they undetectable?
the Emulate's are undetectable...you are only eMulate the ClientSoftVersions from Non eMule clients and for MLDonkeys the Hash + Version...
Non eMule Clients like Shareaza Lphant etc. have no Creditsystem like eMule but with this feature you have a better chance to become Upload from them...
The Nick-Addon Faker ,fakes only Com Tags from other Nicks to become a Community Boost...Tags like = [CHN],[VeryCD],[ACR] etc. and mixed it with your own username....and not the full Nick from the other...It's not a NickThief, but a ComThief ;-)

Thanks
Is it OK to emulate non-eMule clients I have blocked (Shareaza, TrustyFiles, mlDonkey, eMule+, eDonkey in the pic)?

I see
But mods with anti-nickthief systems append some random chars between square brackets (like [~1kc]) to your nick, so that if a Nick/Comm. thief like this sends a nickname with that would-be "community" tag, he's detected and banned.
Does the mod somehow counter this? (anti-anti-nickthief )
what will happen if i dont switch "send no modstring" on? i see it's off originally
by the way ,what's the meaning of "non emule clients", for example,if i select shareaza, then there will never be someone using shareaza in my clients, they are banned.
am i right?
1.the Nick-Addon Faker fakes only real comtags and not Tags like AntiNickthief tags...the feature have a hardcoded list and when a remoteclient have this tag in his Nick,we send it back with our own nick....for example...
remote client have a com and a nickthieftag in his name....he sends ->
[CHN][VeryCD]BadBoy [ft>!]
i will send him back -> [CHN][VeryCD]MyNickName
2.Blocking of non eMules like shareaza and Co make sense because they have no creditSystem....and emulate is good because they think we are one of them and we have more chance to become upload from them
3.if you send no modstring, the most other guys with mods send you no string back to save overhead and you can't find any leecher over the modstring detection...You can better send a random Modstring to the others....This can not be banned...
oh no..something strange happened. yesterday it worked right, but today,i can connect to only a few clients and get very low speed..something similar has happened before,at that time,i was using X-ray.
the same file.SBI v1.6 can arrive almost MAX....so strange...
1.have you make a clean install for the ZZ-R or have you used your config from X-Ray mod??
2.have you a LowID??
@umeK
i have a clean install and i'm High-ID
for example (i've just made a test), i download "Prison Break". when i use shadow mule,it find sources very quickly and can get to 200KB/S
but when i use ZZ-R to download, the sources are very little, about 78/80. the speed is only 46KB ... :(
1.the Nick-Addon Faker fakes only real comtags and not Tags like AntiNickthief tags...the feature have a hardcoded list and when a remoteclient have this tag in his Nick,we send it back with our own nick....for example...
remote client have a com and a nickthieftag in his name....he sends ->
[CHN][VeryCD]BadBoy [ft>!]
i will send him back -> [CHN][VeryCD]MyNickName
So ZZ-R knows which tags it has to steal and which ones not, so that it doesn't take random stuff that's inside square brackets and trigger other mods' DLP or Argos. Nice work  I think there's nothing anti-leech protection can do against this
2.Blocking of non eMules like shareaza and Co make sense because they have no creditSystem....and emulate is good because they think we are one of them and we have more chance to become upload from them
If I block a non-eMule client but also enable emulating it, will I be able to download from it despite the block?
I mean, does blocking non-eMule clients plain ban them, or just not upload to them while you can still receive data from them?
3.if you send no modstring, the most other guys with mods send you no string back to save overhead and you can't find any leecher over the modstring detection...You can better send a random Modstring to the others....This can not be banned...
I have been using no-modstring so far for added security, but it was possible for DLP to detect me as a "ghost mod" and reduce my score because of it.
With the explanation you gave me, I think it's better to use a random string instead... it's still as secure but there are no chances to be banned!
Thanks :top:
@xixifrank: what server are you connected to? And what about Kad? You can find fresh server lists and node files at these sites:
server-met.de (http://www.server-met.de/)
nodes-dat.com (http://www.nodes-dat.com/)
Replace your current server.met and nodes.dat files inside eMule's config folder with those sites', then try again.
You can also use those of your ShadowMule install.
if the ZZ-R blocks Non-eMules like in my -XdP- Mods, you can download from then...
but if the ZZ-R ban theme, you can't get upload from then...
but i think that the ZZ-R blocks this guys ;-)
BTW,what's the meaning of anti upload protection??
Thanks again, umeK
@xixifrank: I think it makes sure a client gets credits from you only after he's uploaded more than the set amount of KBs (default: 1800) to you (system28, is this right?).
@system28
this Final version has some bugs.
just say something happening to me
1st, the sets cant be saved ( often)
2nd, the mod sometimes quits itself without any notice or error report....just,quit,disappear...
3rd, the speed cant be limited...(more than "sometimes",less than "often")
i'll go on testing...
just say something happening to me

I can save them every time :confused2:
2nd, the mod sometimes quits itself without any notice or error report....just,quit,disappear...
It has never crashed for me... But I haven't left it running for extended periods of time yet.
Just opened it and will leave it uploading for a handful of hours
3rd, the speed cant be limited...(more than "sometimes",less than "often")
What speed? Download or upload? I can successfully set any of both to any value every time... (setting the up speed to 1kB/s also doesn't affect my DL - no ratio)
For the anti upload protection it is exactly what you said anon
Thanks rom08 :)
Left ZZ-R running ever since I made my last post in this thread (almost 5 hours ago) and I haven't had any issues (crashes, etc.) with it.
Good night everyone :gutenacht:
nice to see that most people find the answers to his questions by himself (and with some help from umek). whats wrong with xixi...dont know...if you really made clean-install it shouldn´t crash
whats wrong with xixi...dont know...if you really made clean-install it shouldn´t crash
Yes, it's very mysterious...
@xixifrank: what security software do you use? (antivirus & firewall)
I'd also go to the C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch folder and delete all .pf's related to eMule (but only those related to eMule ).

Thanks,
so what is the final saying? good or bad?
It's a very good releaser mod. Of course the best is to try it yourself.
And, by the way, there's a newer version (http://www.sb-innovation.de/f44/emule-0-49b-zz-rs-v1-6-share-levels-6742/) available.
