Police in Leiden have arrested a man who robbed a petrol station thanks to a video clip on YouTube.

Images from the station's security cameras were placed on a YouTube channel run by the Central Holland police force site and were seen by about 40,000 people.
Tips provided by the viewers led the police to the suspected offender, a 27-year-old man from Leiden.

The Central Holland force opened its own channel, called Gesnapt! (Gotcha!), on YouTube in July.
