HAMILTON, Bermuda -- Bermuda could be seeing tropical storm conditions from Hurricane Bertha by late Saturday.
As of 5 a.m. Eastern time, Bertha was still more than 200 miles southeast of the island. Its maximum sustained winds are put at about 90 mph with some higher gusts. It's moving toward the north-northwest at 5 mph.
Bertha is a Category 1 storm and is expected to pass well east of Bermuda. But any movement toward the west could create stronger winds for the island and it's likely to get at least 2 inches of rain in the next two days.
