Known Issues:
Client spoofing with plugin to peers is NOT implemented.
Installation:
1. Download and install Azureus 3.1.1.0 (Azureus : Java BitTorrent Client - Download (http://azureus.sourceforge.net/download.php)).
2. Delete the "plugins" folder in %PROGRAMFILES%\Azureus (C:\Program Files\Azureus).
3. Extract the RAR using WinRAR (WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files (http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm)) or equivalent to %PROGRAMFILES%\Azureus (C:\Program Files\Azureus) and overwrite ALL files.
4. Run Azureus and Enjoy!
Troubleshooting:
Before posting problems please make sure:
1. You have updated Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to version 6 (Java SE Downloads (http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp)).
2. You have removed the Azureus folder in %PROGRAMFILES% (C:\Program Files\Azureus).
3. You have removed the Azureus folder in %APPDATA% (The folder may be hidden).
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Azureus for XP
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Azureus for Vista
4. Reinstalled Azureus using the package from Azureus : Java BitTorrent Client - Download (http://azureus.sourceforge.net/download.php)
5. Re-applied the hack from the downloaded RAR.
Warning: Performing steps 2 and 3 will wipe your torrent list and Azureus settings.

If you have problem with collumn switching delete azureus.config in Aplication Data/Azureus it will fix this problem

update tracker button now works, but it still does not want to download anything, the peers and seeds just sit there and doesnt scrape properly.

try to delete the folder with the cofiguration files that azureus can make new ones

EDIT: Is the password correct coz im getting erros msg "Pass incorrect" while extracting ??!!
hm well sure the pw should be ok i use copy & paste and the archive was extracted fine but maybe you should try it with manual writing.

Und die CRC Fehler kommen von dir, probier´s mal ohne Downloadmanager und mit dem Firefox.

did u try to reinstall azureus ?? do as the technical tips in DDJ's first post say,delete all cache files of az in app data folder & try installing a fresh copy of az to see what happens

what are you editing the .properties file with? always use notepad ;) also if the spoof doesn't work what client does the tracker say you have?
This version is based on core 3.1.1.0 why you want spoof it?
I've tried it with your settings
azureus.spoof.boolean=True
azureus.spoof.value=3.1.1.0
and the announce looks correct...

Hhm normal there should be no problem, because the announce looks good.
Have you perhaps activated a clientspoof plugin or a other spoof option in the program settings? What is with the pefect azureus spoof? Is it activated while you get this problem?
Have you this problem on all sites or only on one tracker?

Its the SCC that sucks (im guessing thats the tracker), try it without the hack too and see whats going on.

that's weird :confused2: are there any Azureus 3.1.1.0 clients in that list at all? check popular torrents; maybe the tracker doesn't recognize the new version (but a tracker updates its database every 2 days or so...), or it could be that peer_ids that start with AZ are allowed but the specific 3.1.1.0 version hasn't entered the tracker's allowed client list yet.

i didnt change any thing beside edit azureusSpoof.properties to
azureus.spoof.boolean=True
azureus.spoof.value=3.1.1.0

just change this

to this
azureus.spoof.boolean=false
if it doesnt work maybe the client is banned on the tracker the spoof works for me fine this should not be the problem. you can maybe try to spoof an older azureus version like 2.5.0.4
you can then try to use this settings
azureus.spoof.boolean=True
azureus.spoof.value=2.5.0.4
again you dont need to use the perfect spoof to version 3.1.1.0
just change this
azureus.spoof.boolean=True
to this
azureus.spoof.boolean=false
kasper, also make sure the perfect spoof if the only one you're using: as butcho said using more than one simultaneously (e.g. .properties + by plugin) can cause trouble, it's best to use just one at the same time :top:
i will try to use spoof of 2.5.0.4 and try it
but ineed to upgrade for other trackers
i will try 3.1.1.0 spoof on other tracker and post results here
i still dont understand why you want to spoof to version 3.1.1.0 its not needed because the core of this azureus version is 3.1.1.0
the spoof ist only needed if you want a lower or higher version as 3.1.1.0
anyway just do what you want to do

Just finished up 3.1.1.1_B05 based off the new Shu version.
It's really only a core update and some very very minor changes...I'll upload it in a couple of hours...going out.
so basicly its same version than yours ? hmmm... i had hope that Shu add some imrovments after couple moths of non relasing anything

All he really did was add a checkbox to enable/disable logging to console and updated to the latest Beta build

I've been having a problem with this 3.1.1.0 Azureus mod.
In AzureusSpoof.properties if I put anything other than 3.1.1.0 Azureus won't start, 3.0.5.2 worked fine.
And the reason why I need to change that value to 3.1.1.0;Win is a tracker called www.deviloid.net
You see in the peer list regular Azureus is reported as Azureus 3.1.1.0;Win or Azureus 3.1.1.0;Mac or Azureus 3.1.1.0;Lin, while the hacked version only shows Azureus 3.1.1.0
I don't know why but it's been like that from version 3.0.X.X onwards, 2.X.X.X always reported properly.
What do you think ?

maybe it's the tracker that adds the ;win, ;mac thing, getting your OS through your scrape requests?
i'm sure Az crashes when you change the spoof to 3.1.1.0;win because ; char isn't allowed in the version field
actually you can activate in your azureus options to send your os version
it should be in options, tracker, client
send java version and os name
it will use your real os that you have
its not possible to spoof the os name through the azureusspoof.properties atleast at the moment
