In 2005 'ct' (a german computer magazine) tested several defrag program and O&O Defrag (version 8) was winner... *sigh* Maybe you'll find a more up-to-date comparison of these programs.

even in newer german magazines o&o wins. therefore its one of the best defragers. i even use it and have positive opinion. the windows standard defrager is shit

Perfectdisc (certifikatet in many magazins, because have new method to defrag)

its fast, exelent and also old notbooks with littel power can use the tool without problems.

O&O defrag is good but is suspect, need to much ressource and the oodrag.exe(works in backround) is ideal for viruses to hide.

appreciate all the input in this matter. i would like to thank everyone for there suggestion here. now i must decide which software to use...a lot of testing to do or maybe i should just install them all..lol

if so, one at a time :wink:

also if you have more than one disk don't defrag them at the same time... you don't want them to be completely wiped, that can happen.

yep, might some issues if i install them all at once,had that happen before..thanks, anon,
worse that happen is that my computer dies..lol..then i will really be bummed

puh it is a long time ago that i defragmented my hdds maybe i shout try O&O or the one that pickle suggested
