Hi!
I am creating this thread sharing (and looking for) recommendations on DDL Sites focused on Worldwide Cinema (Cinema from the 5 continents, not the usual blockbuster types).

I have been using 2 sites for this:

movieparadise.org
worldscinema.org

They have a good catalog, besides very low quality releases.
Which ones do you guys use (or recommend) for this, and why?

Do you only search for ENG DUB movies or also ENG Sub?

I search only for movies in their original languages!
I avoid hardsubs as much as possible and if I get something dubbed I try to insert and sync the original audio from other release into the mkv (if I can't find a release with the same quaity and the original audio).

For subtitles, I use opensubtitles.org and/or bazarr: almost any player (even smart tvs reading usb) can handle the srt subtitle file. (I actually used to make subtitles in the past).

But both sites I mentioned usually gives releases with the subtitles inside the mkv (appended to the container) or simply inside the rar/zip they share.

Finding the movies in their original language isn't hard.
Just look up the biggest DDL forums of that country and you will get your stuff.
But I am not so sure, you will find Eng Sub for these movies every time.

Here is an exception:
For Movies that were made in Germany and that have Eng and German dub plus also ger+Eng sub.

I think the last time I checked out a french movie DDL forum, they only had french dub+ sub but no other languages.

Finding them isn't hard, but finding them as DDL with good quality (remux, 4k restorations or at least a ~15GB good quality rip) is hard.
I know that some were not even released in blu-ray, but then at least a dvd-r wouldn't be so bad, but I am yet to find international movies from the entire world in the same DDL place.

Movies Paradise has a lot - at least the ones that makes success in festivals or cinephile forums - but it lacks image quality.

I have some Norwegian, Swedish, Spanish, Italian, Yugoslavian, French, (...etc) in blu-ray rips of really bad quality and I want to have a remux as the minimum quality to preserve. Some of them are more obscure and other well known famous antiques that I know that have been restored, or at least could be kept in the original mpeg2 dvd-r, but with DDLs the file size is never really big.

At this point I miss being able to rent a movie and back it up myself.

The sites I quoted are good examples of "worldwide" catalogs in a single site, they have movies from everywhere. But I have never found a quality (as in audio/video quality) source.

Even well established French, Spanish, Italian directors... it always feels like a "sample" when using the DDL sites.
Well, at least they exist in those 2 blogs.

Thank you for the German source! I will use it right now to search upgrades for my German movies, and it is nice to have to find novelties.

for german sites I can also recommend:

nima4k.org, jjs.page

These 2 are the top dogs when it comes to quality in Germany.

There are also: hd-world.cc, hd-source.to, moviehunterz.cc

For french HQ movie sites I recommend looking at the french piracy index by my friend altansar.

https://altansar-repacks.site

I hope you can find something on there.
